Bride Gets Dui Going To Her Own Wedding

|

In Arizona on Monday, a bride involved in a three-car crash was charged with DUI on the way to her wedding. Amber Young, 32, was driving impaired in the city of Marana at around 10:30 a.m. when she triggered a collision that sent someone to a hospital with minor injuries.

Officers were called to the scene of the crash. Young was placed in handcuffs by an officer in her white floor-length dress and was taken to the Marana Police Station. According to Sergeant Chriswell Scott of the Marana Police Department, Young took a blood test and signed a criminal citation for DUI before she was released back to her fiancée.

Sgt. Scott said, “This could’ve turned out way worse than it did. It’s supposed to be the happiest day of her life, and this just goes out as a reminder as to why you should never drive while impaired.”

It remains unknown if Young made it on time to her wedding after all. There is so much else to think about on your big day—don’t add DUI charges to the list. Sgt. Scott added on Twitter, “Till death do us part doesn’t need any help.”
