Michael Floyd Signed Into The Patriots, Despite DUI Arrest

|

Driving while intoxicated is something that should not be done but occurs far more frequently than it should. If you are caught, you must face the consequences of the law and the appropriate punishment. If you are in the spotlight, more likely than not, you will face backlash from people who believe that you should not be allowed to keep your job. Many people in government have lost their jobs due to their DUI convictions.

Michael Floyd, a former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver, was arrested last week for driving under the influence. A body-camera video was recently released to the public in which he is seen sleeping in his car, as well as slurring and struggling to answer questions.

This is not the first time he has been arrested for driving under the influence. In 2011, Floyd was arrested for driving under the influence and in 2009, he was arrested for underage drinking.

Following his most recent DUI arrest, the Cardinals released him but he was quickly signed by the New England Patriots. Many critics have been skeptic about his drafting questioning his multiple alcohol related arrests. Should he be punished even if it does not affect his performance in the field?
