Hannah Montana Actor Pleads Guilty To Dui

|

Here is another example of the youth of Hollywood starting off there career in the wrong direction.

Hannah Montana actor Mitchel Musso was arrested back in October for DUI in the Los Angeles suburb of Burbank. On Friday, Musso was in court to accept a plea deal with police, pleading no contest.

According to TMZ, the 20-year-old was caught in an early traffic stop. He plead no contest to having a blood alcohol level over .08. By taking the plea, Musso was sentenced to 36 months of unsupervised probation. He will also have to attend an alcohol education class and pay a fine. E! News reports that if he was found guilty, he could have been sentenced to six months in jail, especially because he was underage when he was arrested. In a statement to E! News, Musso said that he did “appreciate the way the court” allowed him to resolve the case. "In becoming an adult, I have learned first hand that stepping up and taking responsibility is the best way to move forward. I am especially thankful to my family and fans for their unwavering support and encouragement. I am glad to now put this in the past,” he said in the statement. Since Hannah Montana ended in 2011, Musso has continued to work for Disney, voicing characters on Phineas and Ferb and starring in Pair of Kings. According to JustJared, last week, he announced that he would have a new song out “real, real soon.”
